Why Choose Roots
Transcript
People ask all the time, surrogates especially, what makes Roots different from all the other agencies out there. There are hundreds of agencies, and there's so much to weed through to figure out what makes one great. What we did was intentionally build an agency that we would want to use as a gestational carrier, and then build a family around that.
That doesn't just mean the team, although I've only lost one employee in 10 years. Everybody loves their job, and we're like family here. With family, belonging and membership as our core pillar, we build out from there.
We're not trying to become the biggest agency, and we're not trying to appeal to everybody. We know we can't be great for everyone. We want to be extraordinary for the people who want the experience we offer at Roots. We want to see whether we fit, and whether we're the right connection for you.
We're intentionally selective. We're deeply personal, because this is our family. And we're extraordinarily community-driven. We're building a community of surrogates, intended parents and our team to carry each journey through. Our whole goal is building families.
Who Becomes A Roots Surrogate
In building this family, we've noticed some common traits in the women who become surrogates with Roots. Generally, you're always the one who shows up. You're the one people call. You're the one who brings food when somebody's sick. You're the one who notices when something's wrong, or when a friend hasn't reached out in a while and might need a little boost. It's not that you decided to be this person. It's who you've always been. You're a caregiver. You're loving and supportive, you're everybody's best friend, and you know when to show up and how to care.
You know what it feels like to hold your own baby, and you're deeply grateful to have become a mom. Even on the hard days, even when they're really challenging, you feel an immense amount of gratitude. Maybe a little bit of "I'm going crazy," too, but mostly immense gratitude for what it means to become a parent, with all that responsibility and love.
You're also the kind of person who thinks, "I want to help this person get from here to there." That's a lot of what we do.
We're building family. We don't say yes to every surrogate. It's not to keep women out. It's because this matters too much to hand the responsibility to just anybody. We know somebody's family is riding on this, and we want it to be a loving, connected experience. So we look for women who are steady, and who have room in their hearts for people they haven't even met yet: women who feel so much love and gratitude for their own families that they can't imagine not sharing it with somebody else.
So we invite you to join a life-changing community you'll be proud to be part of, where we offer support, high compensation, love and care, and real family membership.
